This is pretty amazing! It's like a mixture of hip-hop and dubstep.

I suck at piano, I just know music theory and I know pretty much how to play the piano, but I need to work my hands...I honestly don't see how people can do this so easily! XD

Hey, I gotta message you on what I've made up on how to read keys. Which works for both Major and Minor versions. ;)

Musicious responds:

Thanks!
I think you could be very well on playing piano! :)

Vocaloids don't have pretty voices, I am kind of disapointed when you did a remix on her. They sound nasally and fake. But I can't blame you because it's a great melody. If you would of have teamed up with a vocalist then that would be awesome. ;b

steampianist responds:

well not all vocaloid. it depends on who is tuning it (i didnt tune the voice btw)

I gave you a three because I know this is the same song with difference sounds from an older track I heard from you!

I'll give you a 5/5
Just make something different, otherwise, people will see lack of new stuff. They'll just say, "ALL OF HIS SONGS SOUND THE SAME!"

Music-story responds:

Thus the no titled track. I only spent a week on this song and it was not meant to be serious. Please show me any other song of mine that is the exact same, because this may be the only one.

However I appreciate the review by you. Typically my old songs I consider poorly made because I always want to get better in my next song so yes I deserve the 3/5 for this lack luster song and I'm not upset at all with your 3/5. However, what troubles me is your accusation based on one of my songs which you have jumped to conclusion that now all my songs are just carbon copies of each other just with different instruments. You know that is not true. And remember, this style is my style so if your getting bored of the whole song changing from beginning to end, well that is just my style and I am not going to change it for anyone. Don't get me wrong. I take criticism quite well. And you are 100% correct that I rehashed some old beats in this "no titled" song (it was meant to be for the holiday fun, not serious), but your final statement is not honest and people want honest reviews more than anything else. Oh and not pointing fingers at anyone, but have you noticed mainstream music recycling old patterns over and over again just with different vocals on top? However, they are the most popular ones so when it comes down to it, many people don't pick up on these things that you and I can pick up on. Do the people follow what we think? No. These songs go platinum. That is life and we just need to deal with it and be happy for these artists success because music is a way of life that can bring joy to people.

Bye for now

Where's the passion?

I mean...it sounds like it's just doing the same thing over and over...repetitive, and it just seems very boring. Was this a sound test or something?

The producing sounds nice. I don't know much about house, but the kick needs work still. It's pretty weak. There isn't much of a "thump" It just sounds clicking to me, but I do have crappy speakers right now...but they're pretty good at picking up bass.

The overall producing is good except for the kick and it's dull in the format. Same thing over and over...

So I gave you a 3.5 out of 5 in the review.
4/5 as an overall rating.

Very neat.

However, that kick is being faded out. Is there something that has a bass frequency other than the kick and bass? Everything else should NOT have bass frequency.

5/5 Just a little error.

Everratic responds:

Thankyou for the review. The pads have some low frequencies but they are no where near where the kick's raised bass frequencies were. Idk why that happened. If you can pm me about this that would be great!

Love it! :)

What Blue said.

steampianist responds:

thank you

I like the melody...it's pretty. ;)

Sounds pretty good. ;)

This is a dubstep that I ACTUALLY like. xD Other ones are annoying and they're just terrible in my opinion.

Now look at you! Gotten so much better on this piece. Too be honest a lot of your old ones needed work, but this one is just perfect.

The mastering would be fine if there wasn't so high in frequency. Well, I call it "too" clean. Comparing them to professional track is best.

Something I learn from a professional producer who did a tutorial on mastering. If it sounds "better" to you, then it's wrong.

Here is what you do. You load a professional track into FL Studio (take of your mastering presets before playing to compare) and then compare it! PAY ATTENTION TO THE HIGH, MID, and LOW! Compression also might be needed, but not always. Compressing a track will make it 100% 0db, but it can also sound a little ehhh. Maximus is best for that, but that's a extreme preset to use. Also, just use FL Studio's preset, they work just fine. There's not need to download a mixer preset that would do the same. And also, anyone can make a mixer preset...so you'll never know what one is professional and what one isn't. FL Studio is all about professional mixing, so yeah. I mean if you want something that will automatically master your track, go for it...but you can do much more from scratch by EQing, Compressing, or experimenting with other enhancers. xD

5/5 good work! The last thing you should work on is mastering which isn't hard at all! :) Actually quite easy. ;) Literally, mastering is the last step you should do...well it's recommended. It goes Mixing-Mastering. Everything should be mixed decently before mastering so you can get the best out of things. Sorry for the lecture. xD

So yeah, keep it like this if you truly love it yourself. Remember, don't make tracks that you'd think will get other's attention. If you like your style or another's style, then use it. Just don't think about others...at all! That lowers your confidence.

Everratic responds:

Thankyou for the really long and detailed review and advice! :D
I might try that one day, I just need to find the right song that is similar to the one im making.
To be honest, I spend twice as much time on the mixing when I like the song im making than when I'm making a song just to make another song.

Using basses like that are meant to be softer. Mainly, they're for Eurotrance. I like it, it has character and spirit. But some things are a bit too much. The pluck is a bit loud, don't you think?

I just want to point out that I did not like that sweep up at 00:20., mainly because when you can tell what the notes are, it doesn't match the song, so it makes it seem a bit too cheesy.

Not many mistakes. I like it a lot. 5/5 It has a lot character and it's fun. :))

Everratic responds:

Thankyou for the review :D
